The Fair Trader scheme has recently been launched by the National Caravan Council with the aim to help consumers thinking of buying a caravan holiday home, or holiday lodge, to identify trustworthy parks that put the consumer firmly first - a 'peace of mind' guarantee that they are dealing with a business with high standards of customer care. The National Caravan Council (NCC) has announced that the number of UK holiday parks that have signed up for its 'Fair Trader' scheme has now reached 122, including some of the biggest names in park operation. A new consumer leaflet, showing the 'Fair Trader' logo, explains the advantages of dealing with a 'Fair Trader' park, which includes the assurances that: You can be sure that the park is committed to high standards of customer care and puts the customer first You can be sure that the park has achieved a minimum of three stars under the British Graded Holiday Park Scheme, a national quality standard operated by VisitBritain, that assesses the quality and standards of the facilities on the park. You can be sure that the park complies with the Industry Code of Practice and leisure agreements which are fair, transparent and written in plain English. You can be sure that the park has been thoroughly assessed by an independent quality assessor and has met the scheme's strict criteria in full. You can be sure that the park will continue to be assessed at least every two years to remain in the scheme. It may be subjected to unannounced periodic checks, as well. If you would like to check which parks have been assessed as a Fair Trader Holiday Park visit www.thecaravan.net Just Lodges have added this award as an available award to be shown on a Park's information page on our web site.
