Alberta Holiday Park

Alberta Holiday Park sits in Seasalter, just a stones throw from the beach and a short trip from Whitstable. It’s an appealing spot for a holiday lodge if you’d like to come down to the Kent coast regularly, whether that means a quiet weekend with the dog or a few days with the family.

You can keep things simple here. Take a walk along the coast, pick up fresh seafood in Whitstable, then head back to your lodge without having to plan much at all. When everyone fancies staying on the park, there’s an outdoor pool with a shallow area for younger children. Owners can also enjoy morning swims when the pool is open. The children’s play area and arcade offer something else to do, and the bar and restaurant is handy for a meal or a drink. There’s a takeaway service, a shop for essentials and a launderette too. Activities and entertainment take place at selected times; some activities cost extra.

Dogs are welcome, and there’s a dog-friendly area in the bar and restaurant. Having Seasalter Beach and coastal paths close to the park makes it easy to bring them along on your breaks.

There’s plenty nearby to revisit over time. Whitstable Harbour, around two miles away, is good for a wander, seafood and a look around the town’s independent shops. Whitstable Castle and Gardens is also around two miles from the park. When you fancy going further afield, Canterbury makes a full day out, with its historic streets, places to eat and cathedral.
