Eype Beach Holiday Park sits just outside Bridport along the Jurassic Coast, offering direct access to one of the UK’s most recognised stretches of coastline. The setting provides a relaxed base by the sea, with open views and easy access to the surrounding countryside via the South West Coast Path. The village of Eype is truly a hidden gem, and the beach, which is dog-friendly all year round, remains one of the quietest in the area, even during Summer.
Luxury Lodges at Thorncombe Heights
Eype Beach Holiday Park is home to Thorncombe Heights, a brand new development of holiday lodges for sale, set in an elevated position overlooking miles of World Heritage coastline.
The first lodge now in place sets the tone for what is on offer. This impressive 50ft x 20ft two bedroom bespoke model, built by Devon-based Timber Venture, has been designed with comfort and quality in mind. Inside, you will find a matt navy kitchen with white marble worktops, a wine cooler, and a built-in coffee machine. There is also a jet bathtub and a private sauna, adding an extra layer of comfort. Outside, a large wraparound decking provides plenty of space to sit back and take in the coastal views from morning through to sunset.
Remaining pitches have the luxury of working with manufacturers to custom-design a Lodge to their exact preferences, specifications and budget. This is a rewarding and exciting experience culminating in the Holiday Home of your dreams.
An artist’s CGI impression is also included in the gallery, offering a visual guide to the planned layout and overall feel of Thorncombe Heights as the development continues to take shape.
Facilities on Site and Nearby
The park itself has been deliberately kept simple, as the location here does the talking. You'll find an enclosed dog exercising area for safe off-lead walking, as all guests are permitted to bring up to 3 dogs with them. Each Lodge comes with allocated parking, and electric vehicle chargers can be installed for you if required.
Eype Beach is the sister Park of neighbouring Highlands End, located just a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk across the valley. Here, you'll find a range of facilities available to you, including Highlands End Leisure Club with indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, for which you'll receive complimentary membership. For food and drink, including a popular Sunday Carvery, there's Martin's Bar & Restaurant, which also has a separate soft play area for younger children. Other facilities include a SPAR convenience store for essentials, Dorset Foot Golf and two outdoor children's play areas.
Things to Do Nearby
Eype Beach is just metres from the entrance to the Park, and the bustling seaside harbour of West Bay can be found just a short walk over the cliff. Here you'll find pubs, restaurants, traditional kiosks and can even board a boat trip out to sea. The town of Bridport is also close by, offering a thriving twice-weekly market, independent shops, and a relaxed food scene. The wider Dorset area provides scenic walking routes, historic landmarks, and traditional seaside towns to explore at your own pace.
A Fresh Coastal Opportunity
With the introduction of Thorncombe Heights, this is a chance to enjoy a brand new lodge in a sought-after coastal location, with space to relax and take in the incredible views.
