The Deckhouse

The Deckhouse is one of the most individual lodges on Friars, our 12-month holiday development. It sits on a generous plot with open views across Alnesbourne Priory Golf Course towards the River Orwell, and a substantial wrap-around deck makes the most of them.

Inside, a vaulted ceiling with exposed white beams runs the length of the open plan living and dining area, where a corner sofa faces a feature fireplace and French doors open onto the deck. The dining table seats six, and the kitchen is a serious cook's space with dove grey gloss units and oak worktops.

There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the master with mirrored wardrobes and a walk-in shower en-suite. A study leads through to a large store, also reached from the garden, ideal for bikes or golf clubs.

Outside, the raised deck has room for dining, seating and a barbecue, with views to the golf course and river beyond.
