The Sherwood Hideaway is part of the magnificent Thorseby Estate located in Sherwood Forest offering  a woodland retreat of luxury lodges.

The wonderful modern lodges are fully equipped for a cosy, comfortable, relaxing break away from it all, each of the lodges also have a wonderful Hot Tub on the decking . We like to combine style with touches of luxury to create a truly memorable setting for your holiday.

With the forest on our doorstep there are numerous activities and attractions available.  The beautiful woodland trails perfect for walks, runs and bikes which can take you to the fabulous Thorseby Hall and its boutique shops.

We’re pet-friendly too, with selected lodges available for those travelling with dogs.

How to get there

Travelling by car Sherwood Hideaway is within easy reach of the A1 (5 miles) and the M1 (19 miles). Our postcode for SatNavs is NG22 9EB. The park is near Ollerton, just off the A614. Nearby towns are Mansfield (Junction 28, M1) and Newark (A1). From Mansfield, take the A617 towards Newark for approximately 6.5 miles. From Newark, take the A617 towards Mansfield for approximately 12.5 miles. At the A617/A614 roundabout exit North on the A614 signposted to Doncaster. After approximately 6 miles at the Ollerton roundabout carry straight on. Entrance to The Sherwood Hideaway is approximately 1 mile on the left, after a layby. This private road winds through the wood for 0.5 mile ending at the park. Travelling by train The nearest train stations at Retford, Worksop, Newark and Mansfield are a short taxi ride away. Trains run regularly from London Kings Cross to Newark North Gate (approximately 1h15) and from London Kings Cross to Retford (approx 1h30).
