Bowland Fell Holiday Park
Bowland Fell is the sort of place where you can decide on a walk over breakfast and still be out among the hills before lunch. The Forest of Bowland is on your doorstep and Skipton adds shops, canal walks and a proper castle.
Owning at Bowland Fell makes it easier to enjoy this part of Yorkshire without rushing through it. Return for a walking weekend, spend a day around Skipton's market and canal, or invite family for a few days with the pool on hand. The Crowtrees Inn, in its old farmhouse, gives evenings a sense of place rather than feeling like an afterthought.
The old farmhouse setting of the inn is a particular pleasure when you have been out among the hills. You can make an evening of a meal together rather than heading straight back out in the car. For family visits, a pool day offers an easier alternative to another long walk.
The restored farmhouse that houses the Crowtrees Inn makes a pleasant place to eat together. There is also a heated indoor pool and a shop on the park.
Skipton Castle is worth exploring properly, and Settle makes another appealing market-town trip when you want to see more of the Dales. The Forest of Bowland has many more routes to discover on future visits. Dogs are catered for here; check any limits and the rules for your chosen lodge.
